 This is Kolbrún who some of you might recognize from a couple of old DPC entries, she hasn´t been seen here for more than a year though. This is the shot I used for my 18th week in my PAW project. Only used ambient lighting for this shot, as you can see by the shadow the sun was setting to my left and gave this lovely brown/reddish hue to the whole scene.

We drove around to three places and this spot came out the best, this is on the northern shore of Hvalfjörður. After taking this picture we liked the idea of her wearing slippers and hippie clothes so much that we are going to do a seasonal series and take a summer, autum and winter version with her wearing the same clothes but in different places of Hvalfjörður.

As for post processing it was very minimal, just raw conversion, mainly tweaking WB to get that golden brown hue and then curves for contrast. Sharpened after resizing.

i would have liked to have seen you bring her out of the shot more and at the same time used more sharpening on the foreground.

Love the lighting here, and of course the 3-D effect of the shallow depth of field.

This iamge really has a 3D feel to it -the shallow DOF works so well here - when I look directly and the model - I swear she is coming out of the screen.

Great image, but I think the blur you applied is a bit too strong. It just harsh on the eyes, and it looks unnatural. I am sure that the voters will still love it.

Love the DOF in this shot - the long deserted road with the mountains in the background. The warm lighting on the girl and the pose with the suitcase and guitar case is perfect...wonderfully set up and captured!
