Hi from the Critique Club.
Fit: The image fits the challenge well.
Composition: Generally I've never minded photos that center the subject too much but I think that is the main problem in this image. Not only are the people right in the middle of the image but the "horizon" (the bottom of the fence) is a bit close to the middle.
Technical: The lighting is a bit "middle of the day". Slightly less exposure would have helped a bit.
Feel: The idea of the shot is great. It has an emotional link with the viewer and hopefully it is something that we can all relate to in some way. Without the technical issues mentioned above and byt the commenters this would have done a lot better.

Nice picture, but with the angle it looks like they're looking at a picket fence. I think they're looking at what's above the dark band on top, a carnival ride? I think a grass level angle would be better here if it didn't get too busy in the background. |

Very cute idea. I wish they were either both aligned with the red fence or each was clearly in front of each color fence. The son being halfway between fence colors is somewhat distracting to me. |

I really like this in a sentimental cute sorta way. Had this been taken when the sun wasn't so bright, like early in the morning or in the evening it might have been better for me. I know sometimes moments just happen, but you should pose them and re-shoot this without that fence in the background. It would be a "wall-hanger". 5 |
