There is no camera trickery here: these are actually dice thrown through the air in front of the camera within the depth of field. I probably through the dice 50 times and got 4-5 decent shots with both dice in focus, in the frame.

Light: Dice light into umbrella to camera right, but below board level so very little spilled on the board. Fill light from a second flash bounced from the ceiling and wall at camera left. Very little ambient contribution.

Editing:
RAW conversion
Curves
Color balance
Selected dice, then color balanced them separately (for some reason they went off-white)
Bit of cloning on some bad highlights and a distracting edge
Neatimage
Saturation, decreased saturation/change tone a little on some of the distracting colors
Added slight vignette
Resize, sharpen, save

I love that the dice in the air are what's in focus. That must have been hard to do. Either you figured out some way to suspend them (wire straight back?) or you kept throwing the dice through the focal point and shot at high speed and got lucky. I can't imaging how many throws to get double deuces, hit the focal plane, be in the shot, and have double 4's on the other side.

Ooh, and you even used the little dog! He's my favorite. Nice placement of the dice with the 2s and 4s showing. Lots of doubles here!

Awesome capture of motion here! Unless they were being held by strings and you cloned them, lol! Either way, I think this is funny, sharp and has nice dof and composition.
