A shot of a car's underbelly while the mechanic works on it. Thanks RVA for letting me shoot pics!

PP: rotate, curves, brightness/contrast, saturation, resize, shrpen 1, save for web

Post-challenge: Wow, what a hat-trick - first score over 6, new PB and a top 20 % finish!!! Thanks to all for great comments and to my TS teammates who patiently put up with my bitching and whining about score bobbing around during voting.

Still can't believe that I originally had Candid in mind for this shot, not til I got home did I realize that PWL was still open and might be a more suitable category.

Fittingly I stopped in at the mechanics ' shop where I got this pic and first learned of my score!

One final important lesson I learned from this shot: it's OK to shoot at an aperture of only 4.0 on occasion!

Very nice shot - especially for a point and shoot. I could try to set this up for days and not get something as good as this!

Terrific shot. Hope you weren't too close to the action?!? I think it would have worked with Candid as well. Very nice lines. Congrats on a PB

Woo hoo, Susan! You did it!!! This was a great shot and I voted accordingly. I actually think this should have finished quite a bit higher. Great composition, lighting, all-around effect!

Intresting idea, not something I would have thought about for a painting with light challenge

Good Concept. I thing it would look better if the bottom part of the photos background was non existant... but thats just me...

That sure is painting with light... I did a shot like this once but I didn't even think about using it for this challenge. Good job I like all the sparks
