There are cutting many trees down on my block. This guy wasn't too happy … nor am I. They cut doen the tree in front of my yard (over the sidewalk is city property). Now the sun beats on my house in the afternoon - I never realized how valuable that tree was to me. THE IMAGE: The crane tree-picker-upper thing was moving up and I coincidentally had my camera on him. It wasn't a "wrench" - I never even thought that someone would think that!!! Interesting. This was 100% luck and I was so excited but it never really spoke to me enough - It felt very 6.2 ish.

A super shot, Tate. Very nicely interpreted story.

Framing him with a wrench? Interesting choice

hilarious. I like how the crane/picker-upper thing frames the guy.

This is nice. It looks candid & it tells a story. It's well done, too!

Excellent placement inside the claw. The red box is distracting, but you probably can't do anything about that.

I love the framing of this image using what looks like the jaws of a digger super focus and dof as well

I like the focus and colour but I cannot understand the connection between him and the foreground subject.

Great framing. And nice "you kids get off my lawn" look. :)

I can't decide if the giant "claw" diminishes the photo or not...he certainly seems compelling enough on his own-not sure what he's feeling grumpy about? that thing sitting on his lawn?
interesting composition anyway..just not sure I like it.

I love how you've caught this expression THROUGH the claw - VERY appropriate!
