 You see the problem is ..... my arms aren't long enough to hold the phonebook far enough away to see.

Cropped, desat with channel mixer, brightness/contrast, sharpening. Bit low light as taken in my office late this afternoon.

Yes I relate to this one. Needed glasses all my life. It is great that the item that this is all about, the glasses, are not shone. Nicely done.

I can certainly identify with this. I was trying to figure out whether it was shallow DOF or some magnifying device, but I didn't see sharp edges. I finaly see (no pun intended) the glasses mentioned in the previous comment. How did you get rid of the frames in the picture? Good choice of object to be in focus.
