 Photo of my nephew in the lake behind my house having a blast! When I thought of 'pure' I immediately thought of him having a good time. What is purer than a child doing what they do best - splashing around?

I wasn't sure if I should submit it in color or black and white, but went with color because his skin is so creamy and eyes so blue against the water. I thought it would have a greater impact. Hopefully I made the right choice!

Not much pp - just cropped, sharpened,and tweaked the exposure just a tad.

Your picture was also under-rated... maybe, as it was mentioned by others, your subject is too centric... but in my opinion it works in the picture... Better eye contact would have helped to the statistics.

This is cute but the water is too dark and your subject is centered which doesn't really move my eyes that well.

The shadow on the side of the face seriously hurts an otherwise excellent shot. Excellent water and freeze-motion on the droplets.

I don't think this photo is very flattering. The half light half shade is a distraction. I'm sure the child is beautiful, this shot doesn't do them justice I'm afraid.

even lighting on the face would have gained 2 points from me. You'll have to settle for a 6. :)Good luck though.
