 Ok, so this ordinary object challenge is turning into a diagonal abstract macro challenge for me it seems using the 50mm f/1.8 lens with a reversing ring. Anyway, this is the heart shaped top of a votive candle holder from a wedding (the two hearts hold the place card). Reflected a bit of light onto the metal from the back, and the pink and green background is from some flowers outside the window.

Played with a bunch of layer adjustments to make it pop without completely messing up the already blown out highlights of the metal. But I kind of think the highlights are what helps to make the shot.

I like the abstract image ... but how you pulled it all together was the great border. And all this from someone who usually prefers no border ... great job.
