Their sharp, shiny fingers reach out from the depths of the data holding facility, clawing their way to the surface. Soon they will be free to exact their revenge on those who had imprisoned them.

...oh yeah, if you haven't guessed - it's a hard drive. the claws are the wires coming from the read heads between each platter.

It appears that it is some kind of mouse trap, the orange represents a force field that when a hand strikes it, it zaps the claw immediately. Causing the fingers to melt and give off a shiny silver look. In most lands this is outlawed, but I am assuming that you live in these other more eliquent lands. Congrats on a great shot, with nice DOF and lighting. And give my regards to the meeces!!

nice idea, but i believe you picked the wrong dof, as the blurriness is not really adding anything to it. i also thing that those colors are not as inviting, and that you may have done better to have desatted this.
