| This image needs a subject. What in this image am i suppose to "See". The texture of the subject? If so, widen the DOF and let's really see that texture. It feels like a digital crop and the subject itself isn't very interesting IMHO |

| Sponge maybe? Not sure.... But would have liked to see it with more color, maybe in Hue & Saturation. Great idea and composition though. |

| This looks like bread, maybe cake. It appears grainy and soft, though, you might want to shoot at ISO 100 and use a flash or strong light to make it clearer and get rid of grain. |

Sponge?
This picture has some problems. Aside from there being no subject, it's low in contrast and it's hard to see whether it's in focus or not. Try bumping up the contrast a lot, and I bet the different parts will pop a lot more. |

| This is too uniform across the image for my tastes. There's no specific subject here and the texture alone is not strong enough to support this image without more. |
