It seems the DOF is shallow for no apparent reason. The DOF draws my eye to the circular area on the right but once my eyes land there, there's nothing very cool to see (relatively speaking). For this image i think a nice wide DOF would work nicely so that we can see the detail in the entire frame and perhaps to add some dynamics, add a lens vignette. my 2 cents

I've looked at your image a couple times and was first thinking of a table saw (or similar) fence but I don't think I've ever seen one this fancy so I'm most likly way off. I love the gold tones to the image even though some of it seems to be made of wood. Nice sharp edges and details and the depth of field draws you attention in but also allows it to wander about without getting lost or bored. Nice job.
