Court House, est. 1825. I used this house before in the "High Contrast" challenge. I tried the best to hide Waldo, and burned Waldo's head and pants to help the viewer out.

PP:

Curves, cloned out 2 lights, minor crop, and sharpened. Desaturated 90%.

Hello from the Critique Club!

My first impression is that color treatment does not work here. If you were going for an antique photo look, then maybe a bit more orange and less red would have helped. Otherwise, I think it would have come out nicely as a simple B&W with no tinting.

This photo does have a spooky feel too it which helps draw interest. You also did a great job on your composition, keeping the light over the door behind the column was a good idea.

This shot meets the challenge well. It is refreshing to see that the person is actually hidden instead of so small he is hard to notice.

I think what kept this entry from scoring higher is that there is not much wow factor. Wow factor is really important if you want to capture someone's attention when they are voting. Otherwise they will give you a 5 and move on.

Has a spooky or haunted feel to it. Waldo looks like he's a burglar (or on a mission to eradicate ghosts).

Interesting choice on monotone for a night shot. Gives it an air of spookiness. Nice perspective too.

Sitting at the top of the steps. Nice shot of the building.

LOL good composition simply because the way you have taken the shot means the eye is drawn away from Waldo and not too him. Love the fact that you have not scarificed the overall image just to hide Waldo and for me this stands well as a shot either within or without of this specific challenge

Nice conversion

Interesting shot, good for a night shot, especially. Interesting, intriguing building, and good capture to not let the lights overwhelm the image. I might have tried some perspective correction on this (given advanced editing), as the left/right lines throw me a bit.

Very spooky and eerie looking, perhaps due to the slight reddish cast.

A bit dark for my taste and the tones look a bit off as well (a bit pink?). You hid waldo very well.

Great angle! And very subtle "Waldo". I also like the processing in this. Nice.

Very nice compositon and angle, Nice job hiding Waldo as well. Its refreshing to find Waldo without the use of a magnifying glass. :)

I don't like the colour treatment.
