I have waited until now to comment, because I keep coming back to it. It is very interesting to look at... compositionally, and because of the colors. I like the mix of liquid and strawberries. What bothers me is the tan background. Not that everything should have a white background (I think it is becoming over-used), but here I think it would work well to show off the reds.

nice idea

This is one of my very favorites. I like it very much. Brilliant coloring, and pefect composition. The only thing I'd change is the background. I'd like it a little bit brighter. 9 Good luck in the callenge. Gracious aka Grayce

print it!

Such a wonderful picture, I like the colors. a small spot at the bottom should crop off. The reflect from the left should offer something to the image or be removed. Perhaps a country window.

Excellent idea. The reds really stand out. My only nit (and it is VERY minor) is the background color. I think a pure white or something would have really made this picture zing! karmat

would have liked to have seen nothing but red liquid pouring from above into the fruit-filled glass (maybe a dark green wine bottle to accentuate your fruit caps) would have made for a stronger image compositionally, i think. distracted by reflection on upper left of bottom glass... but I do like the graded tone in the background, though. Good shot. (6) ~mcmurma

compositionally, i love this photo... i love RED... you have done a very nice job of capturing the red in this image.... my critique is only on the background. I think that a lighter color background, like white possibly, would have created a beautiful contrast between the reds :) good work :) = 8 - jmsetzler

Incredible Photo - Perfect

I like this photo very much, I gave it a 7, and the comments I give will be quite nit-picky, so be warned.

Its a nice composition but you must take into account out-side of the frame aswell. I can see a blue grate shape reflected in the glass and I think it is quite distracting, and against the red feeling of the photo.

The main strawberry in this photo (at the front) is not fully ripened, and has a white are on the top. You were probably unaware of this while shooting, but a ripened strawberry would look nicer :)

Finally I think the "strawberry wine" is a little weak. I would have likes it to be more af a promanent red colour, rather than the watery solution shows here. Even if that is the actual wine you used, I feel it could have been tampered with to improve the photo.

Oh, one last thing, //www.neatimage.com/ is a great program for cleaning digital noise, of which I can see quite prominently in this photo, check it out :)

This is very well done. I don?t care for the reflection on the left side of the bottom glass and I want to see the bottom of it. (perhaps a shorter style glass) Great color and clarity. ? 9 Gotcha

Perfectly elegant and tasteful image. Very well executed. Great job!

the blind is distracting. good photo though

I hope this was the first take, because I can see that it might have taken LOTS of shots to get it right. Mostly a great photo, with the exception of the *slightly* distracting image of the venetian blinds on the left of the glass.

This is a really creative photo. Creativity separates the great from the good and good from the ok. I wonder if the photo might be a little better if the background were more white. It has a pinkish cast to it. I think the whiter background would intensify the red of the wine and strawberries. There is also a reflection on the left side of the wineglass which looks like a window with blinds. This may have been your intent but I think it may be a bit of a distraction. This is really nice though and one of my favorites this week.

Makes me want some Boones Farm Strawberry Hill. I love this shot except for one small thing. I don't care for the stem of the glass being "cut off". I realize that you couldn't get such a great close shot and leave it in, but it still bugs me. Color, lighting, and execution of the idea are all wonderful. lhall-8

Soeone told me once that when pouring wine from a bottle, the bottle should never touch the glass. Yours touch the glass, I give you a 1. Just kidding! hehe Now I'm thirstt for a smoothie, thank you very much!

Cool shot. I'd like to see it with a stark white backround also. Good job.
