Challenge: Where's Waldo? III (Advanced Editing V)
Camera: Panasonic DMC-FZ5
Location: Field near my house
Date: Jun 23, 2007
Aperture: F3.3
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/50
Date Uploaded: Jun 24, 2007

Not sure why this did so badly. After voting and commenting on the whole challenge, I think this photo either was disturbing to people, or it hid Waldo too well, or those who found Waldo didn't feel he belonged there. I'm glad that some people seemed to have liked it though and I had a lot of fun shooting for this.

Waldo is definitely there and he is quite human. He isn't really burning or on fire, it just looks that way. He has a pretty good sense of self preservation and is standing far enough behind the fire to not be burnt buy it. You will find Waldo near the upper right intersection of the thirds lines. If you still can't see him, you might need to adjust the brightness of your monitor.

This is quite funny. I actually burst out in a fit of laughter, at which point my family looked at me, wondering if I was okay.

You got a 10 out of me!

Not sure whether it is my eyes playing tricks on me but is there somethin in the flames. Love the fact that the fire gives so many false clues as to where waldo may be in that you look at something and you think, is that wldo or just the flames/a piece of burnt wood

very beautiful image

I like this; fire is an excellent subject, though it doesn't always behave, does it? Here the colors make the shot for me. I almost want to reach in and feel the purple ones, whether they're hotter than the rest or cooler (I know, hotter, but still), or at least poke it a bit, or maybe roast some marshmallows. I hope Waldo survives . . .

I like the pink tones in the fire...not sure the voters will be real kind to you as there seems to be no person in this...5
