In your forum thread you asked
"Is it to hard for people to tell you why they don't like the shot (I know a can of worms) I always do. I don't think it's that bad do you?"
So I will venture my opinion.
Do I think it's "that bad"? No. And, I think, neither did most of the people voting on your shot. Most people thought it was average (5). In fact, if you consider that an AMAZING shot on here generally comes in around the 7 mark, most people thought this shot slightly better than average (based on the DPC skewed norm.)
Why do people not like it? Well, based on DPC ideas, I'd say -
It's lacking in a superb background. DPC likes every aspect of a shot to be great. The red and white thing is distracting and it looks like she has a pole entering her head to the right.
The top of her head is chopped off.
The eyes could use more pop/sparkle. There's tutorials on that all over the place.
The photo looks slightly "cold".
And, lastly, it's a kid. Not everyone likes photos of kids.
Of course, none of that stuff makes a "bad" photo. But some or all of it may have made some of the voters drop your score down. |
