 An outtake of my burst of color entry. This was taken with my 50mm and extension rings which gave me the severely shallow DOF. I used the burn tool to detail out the lines around his head and arms. A bit of cloning to clean up the softness around him and then various sharpens, NI's, selective colors, burning and selective saturations. This would possibly fly in advanced edit.

Probably not gonna get a high score. A bit of a shoehorn for the challenge I think. But he does look alien and he does sort of look like he is morphing out of the flower, err, uhhmm, the sun.

i think I would have liked to have seen the whole bug in focus. Great use of Bokeh though.

nice idea, fun title, just doesn't give me enough. I do enjoy the colours and concept, just not pushed far enough for me.
