 Combination of 4 photographs (the DC backdrop taken during the GTG, the UFO, and 2 images of fire from the Eternal Flame in DC). Used PS brushes to add flares to the lights. Dodge/Burn, levels, contrast, color sat, NI, resize, sharpen, save for Web.

The shapes in the flames are astounding! Maybe I've had too much to drink, but the center one is definitely two trumpeting elephants.

Love the lighting and the effects in this photo. I definitely want to see this photo on the front page. The only really picky thing I can come up with for this photo is that it could be a hair straighter. It does not hurt the photo but I am just being picky. 9

the balance between the saucers and buildings look nice. yet, the flames look disembodied and very out of place. I think maybe some dark dodging or something to add a more connective element between them.

excellent image. my only suggestion to make it more believable would have been to burn the buildings but still a great take on the challenge.
