This is Magnús Ingvar, he´s only 14 years old. This shot was actually taken in the middle of another photoshoot, I was taking pictures of his sister and he came along, both because he didn´t have anything better to do and to help me with the reflector. Well earlier that day I had gotten the last lens I´ll buy for a good while, right now I consider my lens collection complete. I just wanted to try it out so while his sister was changing dresses I asked him to put the hood up and took some headshots, this is truthfully the first photo I took with the lens if you don´t count the two I took earlier that day of my keyboard just to see if it focused properly.
It turned out much better than I thought and I was actually thinking about using this shot for the June free study but changed it last minute and thought this could fit the "Solo" challenge as well. Lit with ambient lighting + 1 silver reflector he himself held.
Post processing just raw conversion, used selective color to darken the blue in the photo, hue/sat to desaturate the whole shot and also all the blue in the shot. Used a curves layer with low opacity to change the colors to more blue/green, curves and levels to adjust contrast and finally sharpened after resizing. |

| Of course, I had thought when I saw this shot it looked like something from you. Thanks for posting the post-processing. I am going to have to try a few of those steps out. This is a wonderful shot. I enjoyed reading the story behind it. |
