Aw, my husband and I had a bichon for 16.5 years. He's been gone for about 6 years now, and we still miss him. What a joyful and loving breed that is!
This is a great score and placement for a Free Study. Congratulations on a very good entry. I have a feeling that the blown highlights on his back may be what prevented it from scoring above 6 -- the subject, composition, simplicity, focus, and color are all excellent (IMO). |

| I love dog shots. I especially love dog shots that are well done. This is one of those shots. Love the perspective and the expression on the dog. Wonderful detail. Should have been in the 6s... |

Awwwwww Michelle! This is such a cute pet portrait! I love the look in his eyes you've captured.
I'm glad you handily beat your last free study score -- buttttt -- ummmm, I think it should have scored higher than 5.9 :(

| Oh this is wonderful. Congrats on the nice score - it means even more because of pet photo voting backlash. Love these beautiful mocha-colored backgrounds you have behind your dogs! I should get your home decorating advice ;-) So Wally's a puppy? Bichon? Cockapoo? Blend? Beautiful portrait. |
