This is my little angel Coco and few of you know, she lost her partner in crime, Barney, the week before Thanksgiving 2007. She's 12 now and I would say that she seems to be getting along a little better - just wants to be held by me a bit more.

I did do some editing and now that I look at it, she does look a little pissed off, doesn't she? lol I'd been chasing her around for a couple of days with the camera and this time I threw her outside to take this picture. It was cold and she was standing in snow and ice. That does not make for a very happy beagle.

I do love this dog and I have been so very fortunate to have pets in my life and learn from them.

Here's some important stuff for you to know:

1) Spay/neuter your pets. There's too many abandoned animals already and this will help control the population.
2) Adopt from the pound, a rescue group or a humane society! There are many wonderful pets who deserve a second chance in a loving home.
3)Don't spend money at the pet stores. You are getting ripped off and sometimes the pets are unhealthy and not bred properly. Still have a desire to spend gobs of money? Go see a breeder.
4) Never buy a pet as a surprise gift. There's a reason why they don't have a pet in the first place. :P

Heh, heh - now I understand the look she gave you. But there's also such infinite patience here, behind the demand.

You dog looks very upset right now. ;) Wonderful emotion and the top down angle really extenuates that feeling. hehe. Good stuff as always.

Wonderful: your sharp focus totally suits Coco's, and the serious balance in this photo. Glad to see she's looking so good, too.

I LOVE the look on her face. She sorta looks like "OK, I'm going to let you do this just so you'll quit chasing me around with that damn camera!" Believe me, I know that look - my felines have been a bit irritated with me - I chased them around all last month with my camera. And very good advice you added as well.

Great shot Michelle! Love the perspective on it as well as her expression.

I know EXACTLY what was running through Coco's mind at that moment!

"Make me stand out here one more minute, freezing my hiney off so that YOU can get a shot ...........
AND JUST WATCH WHAT I DO TO THE GARBAGE CAN!"
*grin*

I really like this picture. It's soft but Coco's stare is hard. It looks as if she is thinking, "How dare you bath me and brush me just to make me stand her for a picture... where's the treats?"

Perfect title, that's one serious stare! Cute doggie, nonetheless. Nice clarity and lighting, good textures.

I like the clarity and soft light. I also am digging the nice capture of emotion! You better give it to him/her! 7

I like that you've managed to keep the eyes and snout in focus. Also, the expression if great.

The more I look at this shot, the more I like it. At first I was not sure, but after studying it, I appreciate the details you have captured here. It is sharp in all the right places, the colours are deep and rich. Clever angle too and very much in your face. Well done 8
