I love the colors of this one so much, and also the fine detail that you have captured.
I feel you deserved a much higher score than this, as it is a beautiful image.....
So bright, so colorful and so good.....
Almost like spring or summer at its best..... |

Awesome capture. I tend to agree with chaimelle that it may be slighty oversaturated. If you do a selective and desat the greens and yellows just a little, and then adjust the Highlight/Midtones/Shadows a bit, I think you might have scored well over a 6. |

Originally posted by chaimelle: It seems like you took it in bright sunlight, or maybe its just over saturated. Either way, it has a harsh look to me. I like the bee on the flower, but it seems too close of a crop on the flower, and a softer light or less processing might bring out more detail in the center of the flower and the bee. Personally I would try to tone down the yellow overtones in the green of the background, but I am always taking out some yellow so it is probably just me. |
looking at this after the fact, & after spending this past week in the Floral side challenge, I agree with just about everything you say here! Thanks for the feedback..I would have backed off a bit, included the cropped off right edge of the front petal, and probably desat'd the color a bit. they are very bright like this though, even on rainy days, and one of the reasons they are so welcome in my garden!! |

This is a very nice colorful image. Good detail here as well. Only thing I can think of this morning is next time clone out the few flower defects. Lovely. |

Great shot Anne, fantastic colors and clarity. It always amazes me how anyone can get these shots so sharp. Nice job,

Ooooh. Nice macro. I love the bright shallow depth of field and how it gives your foreground flower a 3-dimensional look. |

Not a bad capture at all, but the bee looks oversharpened. |
