| yep, i'm with jon .. cant work out the score either ... i do think that you're high contrast shadow guy might'v gone better, but i'm usually wrong trying to gauge wot the the voters like ... i love the atmospheric feel to this image .. the lamp is excellent and so stark against that gorgeous dark sky coming down to the glow on the horizon .. i feel that it may have been the darkness that gave you the low score, but trying to please to the majority is very difficult .. i've found in dpc that sometimes entries made by the most artistic, original and creative photographers often just dont appeal to a lot of voters .. :) |

I like the darkness of the shot. Its not too overpowering but it gives a sense of slight oppression (as if night was falling and you shouldnt really be here)

| What would really improve this would be if there were a person about 3/4 the way back, looking toward the sunset. This just feels a little too empty for me. |

| Pretty light, nice lines. I think the big light high in the foreground is a detraction, though. |
