Man, this should have placed much higher. And looking at it again now, I wonder if it would help it out by cropping down from the top of the shopper's heads, cuting out the bright spots. But as I've learned myself, don't let your score dictate to you the worth of your shot, as its been said in the forums, its simply because it doesn't have mass appeal. |

My original comment (though maybe a little harsh) still stands. I like the shot in general. I DID make an assumption that the photographer (You, Ami) had more controll over the shot! Anytime that anyone with our camera has a shot that they think is worth entering is IMHO an accomplishment! Good job Ami! |

Hmmm this didn't do as well as I thought it would, probably because 9 ppl out of 10 can't comprehend what you are talking about? Not sure... Don't worry about it keep the great shots coming! |

Oh man, missed a 5 by .004 points. :(
Yes, I realized that "obscured" didn't work until just after the voting began, it should have been "undefined" like Pepette said. And the picture was rather boring, hence why I chose the one with the extreme DOF. The title did factor a lot into making it interesting, that's what I was going for.
Yay, JamieWillmott noticed the tiled horizon! The leading lines in that were just too cool to pass up.
Hahaha! ChrisW123- I was going to enter one taken at the same time with the title: "Through the Eyes of My Dog"
I should have probably put something into the foreground to pull some interest, but I was on a limited schedule and it didn't occur to me. Not to mention I felt a bit silly for putting my camera down on the ground in the middle of a shopping center. ^_^
Thanks everyone for taking the time to comment and vote! And you too, bruchen!!

I like everything about this shot except the extremely shallow DOF and the title....

Background 'horizon' is titled. Nice idea. |

hmmm... at fist I said out of focus then read title very nice. It would have been a bad picture with out the title. |

It's blurry! Just kidding. :-) Interesting take on the challenge. Good use of DOF. |

That is how animals live generally... they live in the moment (the present), and don't (or can't) comprehend the past or the future. Pretty good protrayal of "point of view"! 7. |

Great title! Really enhances the photo! It really gets the viewer involved in your concept. |

For getting past the "will I look like a dork if I pull my camera out here (and put it on the sidewalk of all places)" you get a 10, but for this shot, which has unarticulateable appeal, I give you a 7 |

I like the metaphore... but if we consider your future in front of you... it does'nt look obscurat all... Just undefinite! I like the use of technic to represent the idea of time! |

I understand the reasoning for the out of focus background in the light of your title. I'm not sure it works, and without the title the picture would be dismissed as one more out-of-focus shot. |

its a quite nice shot from a nice point of view and the title is nice as well but I think that you could have been chosen a better Location with a nice background because even if its fading, clear and blur.... I miss the thrill. I wonder if you were lying on the street for this shot?! its nice anyway, I like it. |
