I'm wondering if it was possible to get into a position where the light was in the middle of the net. It would have made the compostion much stronger. |

Good idea. I think you gave your message very well. In technical aspects I guess that a shallow DOF can gave you more interest in the pricipal subject. I need to look twice to understand it. |

Interesting picture for the geometric shapes you've captured, but not a very compelling picture. Colors are dull and it also appears the backboard is slanted slightly. |

the air vent is a little distracting, more distance or wider lens might have made the distance seem greater. |

Not much going on here. Good lighting. Might have backed off a bit more. |

I think a shallower DoF to blur out the distracting background would help. |
