These ships are usually quite lit up at night. This is a little strange to see this one dark. I think that throws up a flag for me, but I'm not saying its wrong or anything. |

This photo is too dark and the subject is too far away. I guess secret and darkness go well together. |

I find this too dark. One of the hints I've read in photography books is to take night photos while there is still some blue in the sky. This might have helped here.
I had a look at it in photoshop and some minor brightness and contrast adjustments can bring out quite a bit more detail too. |

I think the title over-sells the shot a bit. Still, I like the lone freighter at dusk. |

Strong composition with the barge in upper right. I like the negative space in front. It may be just a bit too dark, but since I can still see the ship's details--or many of them--I still find it to be effective. |

This comes across as fairly dark on my monitor. I can see the whole ship, it just blends into the dark sea very well. I mostly see the white shoreline and the part of the ship. |
