The soft coloring and the beautiful detail of a "slightly past prime" flower is stunning. I really like the softness you captured. |

As I mentioned in an earlier shot of yours bumping the contrast can get rid of that hazy look. Here's an edit of your shot that I did. I edited the flower and the bg separately because bumping the contrast on the whole image blew out that spot of sunlight in the upper left of the shot. I tweaked the contrast/brightness and midtones on the flower and decreased the brightness on the bg. Then cloned out those little bugs and used the clone stamp to fix the edges where I did a sloppy cutout on the flower layer. usm once on just the flower, flattened the image and the adjusted the color just a bit to bring out the yellow better without having it blown out. Makes a big difference imo on how much this flower stands out.

Columbine~another one of my favorites in the garden! very pretty w/very nice boke, which reemphasizes & plays well with the bloom's colors! I would like it with a little more sunlight on his pretty face; |

Lovely soft lemon color and very nice DOF. Would love to see this with a tiny bit of editing on the petals to get rid of the pesky black spots. |
