Totally suits the square crop..... Such a great idea, excellent in fact, but a shame it is an 8 not a 7, as I believe this would have done so well.....

Oh boy I cant imagine how many people are going to post comments that that is the roman numeral 8 rather than 7...But I wonder how many of them will actually count the bamboo sticks. Clever funny image and I hope you dont suffer too much

While you do have 7 sticks, the number "VIII" is actually 8, not 7 which is represented as "VII".

Looks like the toothpicks entry from the previous Seven challenge. Maybe it could help if the viewpoint or the colours or something was a little more dynamic.

OK... let's see... there's seven bamboo sticks and it's good for the challenge. But in Roman number you are showing the number 8, I'm sure that you will get voted down by DPCers for that.

That makes it 8! It should be VII!! I know that you have used 7 sticks but that is tenuous IMO

Very, very clever. Seven sticks! I really like this shot. There's not much to judge for technicals (although the flash isn't blown out, which is good), but the idea and execution gets you a 10 from me.
