An interesting take on the challenge indeed. I'm not sure the shallow depth of field works. Nice use of rule of thirds. 8 |

Interesting comparison. I like that the teacup is in focus. Lighting looks good too. |

I love a good cup of coffee but I also like lots of it so I'll take the quality but in the big cup.
Technically your shot suffers from a bit of noise and that little corner of the table on the bottom left would be better cropped out but otherwise it looks good and meets the challenge imo. |

Bringing some cups forward on the left would create a more interesting angle and enhance the comp.

the concept is there, but not overall, very interesting. Love the pattern on the cup and saucer. |
