The rough texture of the tree, the slices of green (stem and backgrounds), and the velvety feel of the petals all work really well here. I tend to agree it may be a bit too centered, but it is great anyhow.

A bit too centered in a way. A tighter crop would help this I think.
Maybe not. The contrasts between the yellow and the bark work well.

I like the concept of using the old tree as the backdrop to the flower, it has such great texture. I would like to see a little sharper focus on the flower itself.

I like your concept and execution. I would try cropping it so just the tree shows because the green part looks a little watery or something. Also, maybe move the flower down to the part in the bottom where the bark is coming away from the tree so that it maybe looks cradled by the tree? (is that a dumb idea, it's a little late here!)

I like Day 9 better. I would like to see this cropped so only the tree and flower are included.

I like this one more than day 9. The same textures but the color and composition here are wonderful. Everything looks to be keyed off that yellow flower. Nice.
