 we had to go and get some stuff at the hardware shop because we are doing an extension and also making wardrobes where there used to be a bar area ..
i asked the boss if i could take photographs and he asked why .. i tried to explain that it was just for myself etc .. greg said she's a professional photographer, and the guy asked who i work for .. i said that i work for myself .. he understood really quick when i said i wanted to photograph textures and shapes in his shop .. he said that he had a cousin like that who carries his camera everywhere and will take photographs of the most common objects and be quite excited about them .. he said that's why he understood, because of his cousin ..
sometimes i've tried to explain to shopkeepers when i want to photograph in their shop, and they just havent got it .. when that's the case i reckon they think i'm lying and i'm working for the competition or something and usually they'll ask me to put the camera away .. occasionally they ask to see wot i've already taken and to delete it from the camera .. its a buggar when ppl dont believe you ..

you are a brave woman. i have not gotten up the nerve yet to go out and just take pictures anywhere i am. I need to do that more because I think I have missed out on some pretty interesting stuff. Interesting photo - I certainly would not have thought to have taken a pic of something like this lol.

The weird thing about this shot is that when I looked at it without reading the description I actually thought that they were pencils and rulers (In fact I was about to say to you '$16:60 for a pencil??? You are having a laugh!!!!!' Then I looked again and it all became clear (no pun intended)

Nice shot and top men both Greg (for supporting you in public) and the store keeper for recognising your addiction
