 Elaine has more than just Irises in her garden, of course, I've taken this opportunity to finally process some other of the pictures I took that day.

One of my earliest digital floral photogprahpy influences was and is Blake Heminger. He has such a way with roses in particular and has always had a style that is his own. Sort of abstract and sort of not... he gets a very fine edge on his petals and uses, for the most part, P and S. Take a look if you can at his Better Photo Gallery to see what I mean. I've tried to emulate him again here but have not come close....although this is closer than usual. Love his style and I'll keep trying just to get it once.

Lovely image! Thanks for the link. Makes me want to go out and try one of the filters I was recently given and couldn't figure out what to use it for.

I think you've done an excellent job mimicing Blakes work. Thanks for the link. I may just go enter a photo into their contest just to see how it goes. Looks like a pretty awsome website (not as cool as dpc of course but...).

You totally rock when oit comes to plants and flowers.....
