Just another starving artist story...

maybe I should have used better lighting, but I at the banana before I could get one out.

Well, I think the coloring is very subtle and appealing (npi). Yummy.

this photo had potential, but the lack of light bothers me. 5 jenguin

The lighting really hurt this photo IMO. The framing is nice and it could have been a good shot, but I can't get past the lack of lighting. 3, just-married

I'm sure you're getting the same comment over & over... but yeah... it's too dark :(
09/14/2002 12:46:00 PM
This photograph is way to dim.
09/14/2002 12:03:00 PM
Aside from being too dark, this is a nice pic.
09/14/2002 09:44:00 AM
nope...

I feel this photo is bit too blurry, lacking depth of field.
09/11/2002 06:12:00 PM
yummy monkey food.

Dark & the color could use some work.
09/10/2002 10:58:00 PM
I'll state the obvious about poor lighting. Or is it in the fridge?
09/10/2002 06:26:00 PM
This came out extremely dark. Almost unrecognizable. It's a shame, since the composition looks to be good.

Composition - good
Technical Aspects - fair, not enough light
Meets Challenge - yes
Visual Impact / Originality ΓΆ€“ fair, not really appealing
Other suggestions ΓΆ€“ looks too dark for the subject

too dark

Well, honestly, way too dark. Other than that, and from what i can see, looks like you had good dof - good close up. 5

This is amazingly sharp for being so dark. Normally, I would really grade down such a dark shot, but the banana is really, really good. The best I can go is 7.

too dark.
09/09/2002 03:04:00 PM
Too dark, but good concept.
09/09/2002 02:46:00 PM
What happened to the light?
09/09/2002 02:15:00 PM
this looks way too dark on my monitor. i can make it out, but i have to try hard. i just tried to lighten it in an editing program and like the shot better that way. i wonder whether you did this on purpose or its one of those 'different calibration' issues. -- gr8photos.

would look better if it was more well lit
09/09/2002 01:22:00 PM
methinks its too dark...sorry

I think this particular photo would have been excellent with some better lighting. All of the nice detail here has been lost in the darkness of the image... - jmsetzler

Nice composition and detial, but seems a little dark to me. I usually do this at home, but I am travelling for work and I'm viewing these on my laptop. Not sure if it is my laptop, or if your photo is dark. Nice angle, though...

picture appears *very* dark on my screen. If it was not intentional, you may need to perform a couple test prints and compare them to what you see on your screen. Then adjust the display accordingly and we'll see what you intended.
