Portrait???

I had the same problem, forgotten to add a person in the photo to make it a portraiture.
07/22/2007 11:28:04 PM
a portrait of what?
07/22/2007 12:03:10 PM
I don't feel that this is a portrait.

Although the light is natural, it seems flat. Consider shooting when the sun is lower in the sky and generating shadows. Taking steps to get a sharper picture and a composition with a stronger focus of interest might help.

Overlooking the fact for the moment that this DNMC, I'd recommend doing a landscape in landscape mode. Maybe you are considering it's a portrait because it's in portrait mode. Also, saturate the colors more to bring out the sky and forest.

Well, I am open to wide interpretation but however I wouldn't look at this image it is NOT a portrait... Technically, it's also too flat to my taste. I am sorry.

07/19/2007 01:12:15 PM
it was already a push to call this a natural light portrait and I prolly would have given you the benefit of the doubt, but you didn't even ahve anything in focus.

07/18/2007 07:05:44 PM

07/18/2007 06:25:24 PM
Not really a portrait - even of an inanimate object
07/18/2007 05:26:58 PM
You're pushing the envelope. This is a landscape, not a portrait. I guess you expected to hear this.

I'm sorry this is a nice picture but it is not a portrait. Definition from the English dictionary

"a pictorial representation of a person usually showing the face"
07/18/2007 07:40:34 AM
Is a landscape? Also, lacks foreground interest, for me, and the dynamic range is limited.
07/18/2007 02:43:09 AM
What is this a portrait of?
07/18/2007 01:11:20 AM
