 A dragonfly on a limb in the pond on the campus of the community college where I work. :)

I took this with the 70 - 300 (still too lazy to add to my profile). I had gotten where I didn;t like the lens. Everything was soft. BUT, I figured out that if I shot in RAW, sharpening and contrast seemed to fix that.

I was standing on the bank of the pond, looking down at this guy. It was a distance of 8 - 10 feet, and he was about 3 inches long.

Great clarity on this little guy. Bugs are always so creepy to me, but in macro they seem to be so cute because you can almost see their little personalities.

Damn one day i really want to be able to take a dragonfly shot that looks this good. Wonderful focus and the bokeh is sublime

Awww, you guys have a pond, lol. I was actually inspired by your other CC pic that I thought I'd take one of my school. Maybe. I might get as far as an empty class room tho since we are done in two weeks heheheheheeeeeeeeee

Great capture of the dragonfly! I love the details of the wings and the color of the body. I think the sharpness looks pretty good.

Wow, another really nice macro! I like the little sun spots or dust spots whatever they are, make it look kind of like a fairy tale.

You really made Photoshop do its sharpening tricks. Great detail and great bokeh. I especially like the colors in the background. They'd make a nice textile.

I like the fact that the background is more vibrant and eye catching then the subject but the eyes still go to the pretty dragonfly..
