I'm glad you didn't use an apple :) I feel the comments would have changed to "that's a cliche concept" if you had... good work :) |

this is a self portrait - i covered a stool with a black t-shirt and set the bananas on it in the middle of a dark room (it really was past 2 in the morning) i sat in a chair right next to that setup, and had a spotlight next to me aimed at the nanas - i set up the camera next to the stool, pointed back at me - i positioned myself so that i could see the reflection of my eye in the center of the lens, then looked at the nanas and clicked the remote --- this was the most compelling shot i could muster out of over 130 of these i tried |

I have to know how u did this! awesome photo. The greenish tint is the only thing that bothers me. Otherwise very nicely done! |

That's so cool! I love the weird drama you created here. It's like Clint Eastwood staring down some punk. I have no idea what that has to do with bananas, but it's kind of surreal and I like that. 10 for creativity - lisae |

Ha! This is certainly a unique shot... I'm impressed with the creativity! It has a sinister feel to it, as though those damn bananas are about to attack or something... |

Very cool! Good thing for the title, I almost missed the bananas. I guess I wish you could have gotten even closer (so the bananas would be larger), other than that, this is just plain great! 9 Swash |

Very nice concept...My only nit is the size of the bannana's and the darkness of the eye color keep the shot from popping to me...stil very ambitious and nice...8..hokie |

Your shot shows a high level of technical difficulty. (I doubt I could pull it off.) Without the title I would not have been able to recognize the item in the pupil of the eye. |

Great detail and focus. Excellent execution. A red apple would have been a lot more profound in the meaning. |

I can't wait to hear how you did this one. I probably would have gone with the title "Apple of my Eye" and used, obviously, an apple. Maybe you tried that and apples don't work as well. In any case, I'll hope you'll us some data, I'm eager to try this one myself! |

Most intriguing shot. I think that I would have liked to have seen more of a close-up of the eye to emphasize the bananas. I want the bananas to be the "subject", not just "in" the photo, but that is just my perception. lhall-7 |
