 This is a photo of rain in the middle of the DAY! Unlike the poor people in England who are practically drowning in rain, here it NEVER rains. So when I heard a strange noise around 11 AM, I looked out to see that everything was strangely wet. And behold, it was raining.

This is a view out of my front door. On the bottom right is a 60 gallon oak wine barrel. I use it as a plant holder now. But I used to make Taiko drums and we used wine barrels as a base. It's a huge, complicated, drawn out process - but it starts with one such barrel.

Anyway - that barrel has moved with me a lot of times.

I've never heard of Taiko drums - sounds interesting! Glad you got some rain - we are starting to get a good share now here. I love the earthy tones of the picture! Nice perspective and love the faux square crop lol.

Alicia...I was getting a little worried by the first para of your comment

Glad the UK is not the only place that is getting wet at the moment

How cool that you made Taiko Drums (we are talking about the Japanese instrument here arent we) they are fantastic and make such a wonderful sound.
Nice that you have kept the barrel it looks like it has seen many days and things

I wish I was still excited over the rain here, it's rained something like 45 out of the past 49 days. Too much rain, but it looks like your plants are loving it :)

I heard that it was the stormy season there but I also heard it nevers rain during ya'lls stormy season. Congrats on the rain. Nice crop and frame. I love the shadows and the colors.
