light, I can't see
where it is born/but
there it is, on the steps,
oscillating,
illuminating the worn clay, one
sqare at a time. the
boy, as if seized
like a little discus thrower
in some Olympian half-light- bent
for glory, Gloria or
a glimpse of the afterworld.
I can't see
the girl's head, but I know
where it points, where
everyone else
is a wheel or
a sundial Gitzo.

This is really cool and probably the only reason it did not do better is because it is not a "classic" street photo, whatever that means. Anyhow, awesome shot and into my favs! |

It looks like you've gotten below the street, like we're seeing the bottom of the street. I always appreciate a new perspective. 10 |

What a great photo and title as well. It kinda gives me a clue as to what score to give it. And that would be: 10 |

Lovely use of light and shadow and negative space. Intriguing too. Not sure I'd necessarily class it as street photography but not sure I'd want to classify it at all! |

the stairs are little to hot, light on dark excellent, open up the shadows in the little boys face and man maybe a little more shadow detail all around |

Very dramatic light! It gives this a sense of risk and danger to the photo. Quick, get those kids out of there! ;-) |

What's going on here. The slanted light is a nice teaser. Seems to be street photography with a difference. 8. |

Nice capture - Great location, nice blacks and good sharpness - I almost think just one person looking through that hole would be a much better shot as the boys pose is a little awkward and blends into the girl quite a bit. |

Not really sure what to make of this. It seems to be below the streets rather than on them. That aside, black and white does work here as it adds emphasis to the shadows. I may have been tempted to dodge his face a bit to allow us to see a bit more detail. |
