 was working at computer while the builders were doing stuff to the house for an extension and making a racket .. i had itunes on fairly loud ... heard another really loud noise that i didnt recognise at first .. i looked out my window and there's this helicopter flying really low over the house ... of course i grabbed the camera and raced outside ..
it flew away, but i could see it in the distance .. i sort'v willed it to come back coz i thought it would make an excellent photograph .. well it did come back and i got a few shots ..
the buggar is that my camera will only take like 4 or 5 shots in quick succession and then it freezes while it processes them ... of course if you're taking something that is over very quickly then you've totally missed out .. i missed out ..
i started shooting too soon because of my excitement, and so when the helicopter was right overhead, well that's when the camera froze ..
this one shows the edge of the roof of the house and the helicopter sort'v hiding behind the gum trees ... ironbarks as it happens .. ironbarks & lucisart slash ninja !!!!!!!

Great processing, I can't wait to install lucisart! My favorite part of this is how you edited the helicopter, it almost looks like it was painted in!

Cool colors and processing. That is definitely something from Outer Space hovering over your house. Catch a ride if you can, shoot some pictures, and then share them and your experience with us!!

you are so good at just grabbing that camera and going for it! i am impressed that you were able to will it back toward your house so you could get these cool shots. i like the way it is peeking through the trees... very Big Brother, eek.

Nice! Almost looks like a space ship landing in your yard. We get helicopters hovering over the mountain all the time - looking for hoodlums or hikers who are lost - but they are never close enough to get a good shot like that.

That's cool how it's just hidden a bit by the trees. I like the processing - Lucisarts?

Helicopters overhead can be amazing loud. You didn't miss out too badly., I think you chose the best of the bunch, composition wise. I like the painterly qualities of the pp, too.

I'm surprised the Rebel freezes after 4 or 5 shots. My non-DSLR freezes after 3 or 4, but I thought DSLR's had signficantly more shooting power than that.
