Well I took a photo of a bright red poinsettia flower above, but I felt it was just to bright and to red.
I decided to convert it re "Gradient Map" and then to black and white.
I then played with it in photoshop, re processing by burning and dodgeing, to get the effect I was after.....

ps; Replaced origional version with this one, where I cloned two tiny white spots out.
