| This is a great choice of subject, very interesting, and an engaging character. Composed well also. I think though, that the extreme shadows, and very harsh light on his face and beard (to the point of being blown out) are taking a lot away from the image. It looks like a tough exposure. A case where maybe a different angle would yield more favorable light? Or waiting for a cloud to cross the sun, if even for a moment, to catch a fleeting second of nice diffused light. Or, if this is someone that set's up there on a regular basis, trying to catch on a different day, or a different time of day to catch some good light? |
