Samuel's two weeks old feet with his mother's hands - what a beautiful contrast . My wife was playing with his feet, giving him little tickles and just giving him a little loving.
By the way, some of you asked for more Samuel, well, you just might end up with him all the rest of the days:)
My own secret, personal life project, is to get one "keeper" photo of my kids every single day.
There is no green hue... after the comment, I checked. :) I had actually desaturated all the color in the green, blue, cyan and magenta channels and done a 50% desat in the reds & yellows.
BUT, after the comments, I realized that the reds must be creating an illusion of the green cast (don't ask me why... I told you not to ask.) So, I desaturated all the red channel and some most of the yellow channel, leaving just a smidge of color to add a little more warmth to what is basically a B&W.
Now the image looks noisy to me... |

This is going to be such a great image that you can cherish for a long time! Such innocence. |

This is precious! I think it's great that you'll be doing a pic a day of your kids too, time flies by, the only way to catch it is with a picture :) |

These are the only times I yearn to have another baby. Beautiful capture, perfectly lovely. |

First let me say that this is an exceptional photo. You really captured a moment there and it's just beautiful.
I looked at it yesterday and was all smitten. Then I read the comments about the green hands. It really didn't bother me that much. What ever tones there were made it look dreamy and vintage-ish to me. But I didn't comment yet.
So today I see you've processed it some more. The noise you see now was there in the other version, too. It's just more visible now. I took the liberty to run your photo through NI and it took care of the nose. Give it a shot.
But in any case - really exceptional image. Don't let this technical chatter let you think any different. |

I just love images like these, as they often move me to tears.
What a wonderful memory to have and share with him later.
I am just a little bothered with the color of her hands, and hope you can fix it.

Really nice picture and I think you're getting quite the collection of keepers.
I must agree, there is that greenish cast in the hands. |

Her hands look greenish to me too. How odd.
This is a sweet shot. I think it was Jacko that took a picture of his first son every day/week in his recliner. It made for an interesting series. |

Very nice, Bud. I love the composition, but there seems to be a subtle green cast to the skin on your wife's hands. I'm curious if this is my monitor or in the photo (or possibly just in my head, I'm told I'm somewhat color blind when it comes to greens, grays and browns). |
