... to follow

This should be fun. Good for a handful of comments I imagine, along with a healthy dose of 4's! :D

Started fooling around with this shot. Didn't care for the bright/bold colors (red, yellow, purple). Messed around with the desat some - still didn't feel right. Tossed in some noise and called it good.

The challenge description did call for something in "an interesting and creative way" didn't it? :P

On a more serious note I wonder about the toys our kids play with at times. We try to steer away from the violent/crude stuff out there. A racecar set designed to setup "crashes" seems fun and carefree right? Or is it? Are we instilling thoughts and habits that say it's alright to go fast and don't worry about crashing once they've grown up enough to drive for real? Just meandering. :) It's good fodder for photography discussion as an "art" form. He-he.

This is actually a pretty frickin cool image. It was in my top 10. Too bad it's not super crisp and as noiseless as the naked eye-and doesn't have way over the top colors and contrast. Otherwise it'd be a 10 (regardless of what it was a picture of).

I enjoyed this comment so much I figured I better "quote" it to keep it available when I need a good laugh. :)

This photo has style, a definite look, and it's exciting. Well done.

So much better than some of the crap in the top 20.
The accelerated "dumbing down" trend I see on voting results is indicative of the ever increasing popularity of this site - which is a shame.
Good work!

blur and grain work very well here

Intersting perspective. Very grainy. No sharp focus. Maybe that's the point. I like the composition of the cars on the track but really would've like to see it with better detail.

Like the concept of the "smash-up" LOL The b&w works well for this shot....just that the focus and noise to it may be a bit too much???

Maybe I'm not "getting" what's going on here. It's too grainy and blurry.

Would have liked to seen this with much more focus, and much less noise.

the grain is just too much...I can't even see what it is, if it weren't for the title.

might be good for a "posthumous"-ribbon, not for me: too grainy, out of focus, lacking of composition.
