Last shot from Detour #2. I've had in my mind that I wanted to shoot this but as I previously drove by I could never find a good place to pull over. I finally just pulled into the long driveway of the house that I am guessing is the owner of these old structures. I don't like to shoot from residentially owned property if I can help it but apparently I couldn't in this case. I pulled into the drive, quickly got out of my car, snapped about 7 photo's and away I went.

I've never seen a silo that looks quite like this one. That's why I had to shoot it.

My only regret is that the sky was so bleary. I wish it had been some shade of blue but alas it was not.

How strange. The bleary sky kind of goes with the bizarre silo and buildings. It's surreal and interesting!

There are abandoned homes and silos like this throughout the country roads of Kansas. I love to photograph them... but I get very weirded out that some hermit is peeking out from behind a board and watching me... planning my most gruesome demise. (Yup, I'm weird.) But I do like the composition you were able to compose for such a quick capture.

I also hate it when the sky is like this but gwee it is an unusual silo that you have captured here.
