On one of my comments I declared that I had never had a ticket, but that my next day's picture would probably be one.

Here it is. Yep, karma's first ticket. Ever.

For an expired tag. In my defense, the tag expired while Bernard was having all of his medical stuff going on and it just slipped our mind.

Fortunately, he didn't notice (or didn't say anything) about our expired inspection sticker. THAT can't be fixed because the "Service Engine Soon" light is on, but we have an appointment to have the emissions checked Thursday. Ahhhhh. adulthood.

So, here is proof positive that I know longer have a perfect driving record. Mr. State Trooper (who looked barely old enough to be out of high school) assured me that if I will take proof of current registration to the DA on the appointed date, it will be dismissed. :)

Man, that sucks!! I got a ticket for this last year, luckily it was dismissed, and I'm glad to hear that yours will be too. Tickets are no fun!

lol no more jinxing UNLESS you plan on saying "oh I might win the lottery tomorrow" - that's a better idea.

Such a hassle you have to go thru. But I am crossing my fingers for you that everything works out in your favor!

Oh, the shame! :-) But it's not really a moving violation, is it, so your driving record is still good?

One look at an official looking document and I immediately get the heebie-jeebies. Sorry about the ticket!

Still a huge pain and waste of time. Didn't that guy have anything else better to do? Great detail image of the citation though. That's as impressive as your clean driving record.... well, it was. ;)

OOOH! That's why you NEVER say those kinds of things! Hopefully everything will be dismissed & no one (besides dpc-ers) will be the wiser, lol!
Thanks for sharing anyway!

For some reason I find this funny. I think it's because I was pulled over once for the same reason but the sticker was in the glove box. The cop waited while I put the sticker on.

Busted!

California lets you do all that on-line. I've got such a bad memory, that the minute I get the renewal notices, I drop everything and go straight to the computer. I'm not particularly virtuous -- I just don't want to be hassled by the DMV.
