 i thought this was some sort'v bee coz he was behaving like a bee ... buzzing around and landing on flowers, in this case wattle, and looking real busy for a while and then buzzing around and landing on another flower .. greg thought it might be a wasp, but i didnt think wasps were that into flowers .. that's why i called him proboscis boy, coz thats something i actually knew about him .. or her as the case may be ..

Hey, we are on the same wavelenght you and I, as I have also been taking images of the golden wattle. I love your image here with the bee. A great close up again from you sweet friend. I have more to post in the next few days.

Outstanding macro! I just love the colors on this one. This guy actually looks like a type of fly to me - but maybe I'm not appreciating all of his qualities.
