 This image was all about the set-up. It took me about an hour to get everything prepared and setup (not including the trip to Target for materials), but it only took about 15 pictures to capture the one I liked. Most of the iterations were in trying to get the corners of the plate level by the sides of the image, as well as some messing around with the desk lamps under the food to remove shadows. Click on the image below to see the rest of the detail in setting up this shot.


Post processing included some white balance adjustment, contrast, cloning out a few lines on the plate, sharping and save for web.

I love this shot... nice/simple with good color. My first 10 so far. strike that... my only 10 of the challenge... This looks like fast food that is quite appetizing if you are looking for the classic stuff... nicely done... love the blocks of color.

Very nice. One of my top picks - blue or red IMO. Great color and a pleasing artistic layout. Nice clean white and strong colors. Back to bump you up to 9.

Ahh, great composition and lighting. I can almost taste the Dr. Pepper. You did use Dr. Pepper didn't you? The only thing I don't like is the one straw being cut off throws my eye clear off the photo. Bumping up to a 9....

great textures... i just think its the SMALLEST bit off center... the hot dog should be rotated clockwise a few degrees...i'm weird like that.
