Nice composition, and great exposure on the grass. The bull needs more detail; he's gone almost completely black without texture or even features beyond the eyes.

What are all the white speckles on the bull? I find them distracting.

I wouldn't consider this would be a representation of a zodiac Bull. Maybe one that has horns and clean, etc.

Personally I love bulls and am also a taurean so I am a bit biased on this one.
I pulled it into photoshop and played with some cropping.
I preferred him with the right side cropped out (taking away the leg).
I can see though that the leg also gives him some "support".
Therefore as a "Picture of a bull" I think the leg is better in but as a "SYMBOL of Taurus" I think the head is strong enough to stand on it's own.
I know there is absolutely nothing you could do about it (unless it's a very tame bull) but I think the bits of grass etc - make him appear a bit of a pussy-cat - and if the grass could have been brushed off then he would appear more menacing - but I am certainly not going to reduce my score for that!

The background is bright, but the cow is a bit underexposed. High contrast composition... tough to nail down.

A very powerful looking animal. Nice photo. The tight crop leaves me wanting to see more (chest and shoulders).

Nice photo, the frame adds to the picture a lot - it brings up the color. Although I would apply less sharpening - it almost seems that on the grass the filter brush strokes was applied. But it's still a very nice pic! 7

Always difficult to get the necessary detail on a dark animal. I think a little fill flash is required to bring out the hair detail on the neck and shoulders.
