This was a last minute entry, as all can probably tell, it is a charm of the cancer symbol from a neclace of mine, I like the negetaive space in this shot and the simplicity of it, anxious to see what others think.

This shot was taken in black and white, so all that was done out of camera is ps was resize andjust brightness and contrast, and add the border, and sharpen. Then after submitting it once I was playing around in PS and decided I like it better inverted so switched my entry, which was probably a mistake but time will tell I guess. I'm not expecting this to do very well but usually the ones that I am expecting to do good bomb miserably lol, so nothing to do but wait and see.

Yep - Excellent composition - The best use of negative space I have seen used for a long time. I am wondering if a highlight on the top end of the claw would have worked. I have put one on in photoshop to see and I think it does - without detracting from all the low-key.
It may be possible to have done it "in-camera" though not easily

A bit too much black here I think Its a shame because the crab looks good

Good idea, but overall, uninteresting.

A little too low-key for me. I like the idea of placing the subject in the corner and including a lot of negative space but I find that the subject is too near to the edges of the frame - feels a bit tight to me.

I know you wanted it dark, but in my opinion, the crab should be lighter.
