Fantastic perspective and leading lines - a wasteland, if not for the winking inclusion of the human shadow.

Looks like you had a wonderful hiking trip. That looks like a beautiful place to visit. Love the black and white contrasts of this shot. I also find it cool that you caught a reflection of the rocks in the water.

Very neat high contrast shot. The leading lines are fantastic. The only thing I would change would be to clone out the shadow of the person. Great Job.

Interesting idea having all that muck in the foreground. I probably would have moved forward more to avoid the muck, and then would have only had an ordinary pretty picture. What a good eye you have. The B&W is very nice.

None of these shots sucks. Not a one. It's a delight to see what you come up with for challenges, and just in general. Glad to see you had fun with the wide angle. What I like about the challenge entry in particular are the strong foreground lines. Gives it power somehow. And I quite like the shadow of the person, too.

Very nice contrast. I like the self portrait because it is subtle (it blends in with the other dark lines)

I love the composition and the light. I'd like to see it without the shadow though.

Nice shot - Like the tones - Lovely composition - Wonderful sharpness - Wish the shadow was a little more recognizable as it gets a little lost into the ridges

Your shadow? I like that you've included it. Adds some relief to an otherwise harsh and lonely terrain. Awesome place. Well captured and great in b&w.

the light is great - but your shadow is really too bad - very distracting

Great shot! love the contrast and foreground. I would have dodged out the shadow... but someone else may love the shadow.

Is that your shadow? looks like an arm is down.

Nice shot... except for the shadow. IMHO
