This allegorical portrait of self-love is heavily indebted to the oozing inspiration of roby21112, and also his tongue, which he gladly shared with the whole room. The man is desperate for a ribbon, so I thought I might get him a brown.
This was taken with a long exposure in low light (I obviously wanted the long exposure. Why else would I use aperture 11 at iso-200 in a dark bar unless I'm some kind of idiot? huh?). The appearance of two images is due purely to the skill and grace of the model, who was able to strike a pose in two positions and move instantaneously between them. Once I got this beauty home, I neat-imaged it, cropped it, resized it, sharpened it, and ran calculations to b/w (red and blue layers multiplied with less than 100% opacity).

This actually is Janus, trying to put his two faces back together, frustrated and annoyed at having had two faces, lying, never seeing things quite the same, for so long. He's figured out the key, finally, to doing this: the tongue. If he can just get the tongues of the two faces to touch, his faces will reunite into one, and he can rejoin the world unified and, more importantly, trustworthy. Excellent capture here, by the way, with so much going on for those who are willing to look.
I'm trying to understand this. The Janus head is usually two-faced in opposite directions, but I suppose that isn't essential. Not sure of the significance of holding the tongue. Don't know how to rate it; with everything out of focus--not just the alter-ego, it isn't very appealing. Will give you credit for trying to communicate a complex idea in your photography...and you did fill the frame!
1. 1st letter of English alphabet: the first letter of the English alphabet, representing a vowel sound
2. letter "a" written: a written representation of the letter "a"
trying to figure out the title i went to the dictionary, still dont get it, unless janus is your name, a little more sharp and i may have had more impact
I'm not sure what you are going for here. It's very out of focus. It appears to be a long exposure with two flashes on the same subject, so maybe you used an incandescent light rather than a strobe, causing the blur, or maybe just minimal lighting with no flash at all? I haven't a clue what the title means. Sorry, I can't vote this highly.
